Stapling Modes: Most standard plastic staplers provide two main modes:
Stapling: Standard permanent binding.
Tacking: The stapler "swings open" 180 degrees, allowing it to act like a tacker to attach papers to bulletin boards.
Pinning (Temporary Stapling): Many models have a rotating anvil base. By rotating the anvil, the staple legs are bent outward instead of inward, creating a temporary bond that is easily removed.
Anti-Jam Mechanism: Most modern plastic staplers include a metal internal channel or feeder designed to reduce staple jamming.
Nonskid Base: A rubberized or textured bottom is standard to prevent the stapler from sliding during use.
